SITE SURVEYS Prior to undertaking any custom RFID/ADC system design for our customers, we carefully study the user requirements and performance expectations/specifications to identify and/or model potential RF, EMI, Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) noise and interference sources. These undesirable elements rob the RFID system of its performance, reliability and introduce uncertainty regarding the overall system throughput and integrity. In order to avoid this, we use sophisticated tools and methods to accurately measure RF signal strength, stray signal, multi-path, bounce, RF signal absorption/reflection characteristics, harmonic effects, shading, emitted and conducted RF signal strength, loss profiles, and full spectral analyses for the intended operational RFID/ADC and resonance frequency. We employ standard tools such as spectrum analyzers, resonance meters, and resonance indicator lamps/LEDs. We also perform system-level modeling and simulation to pre-test our system performance and identify corrective design actions to resolve these issues. We have worked with the independent FCC/PTT and other regulatory agencies for our own designs and can also assist customers who want us to help with the approval application, pre-testing and final approval process itself with the regulatory agencies. For custom RFID/ADC system development, RF site surveys or FCC approval related consultation, please send your inquiry to inquiry@sentinelid.com.
