Sentinel has proven and strong software development expertise to enhance the performance of our standard and custom RFID/ADC hardware elements. Our software architecture development team thoroughly reviews the customer requirements, system performance metrics, user constraints and use environment before beginning to develop custom software.

Then, using our domain know-how and algorithm development skill set, we arrive at the appropriate architecture, partitioning, flow-charts and throughput scheme, so as to deliver truly open, scalable and modular software building blocks to our customer. These core blocks are reusable, re-configurable and suitable for re-compiling and re-formatting. They are also able to handle a variety platforms, protocols and data formatting needs.

Our software engineers then take this framework and these core blocks and code the software in the most efficient manner. We typically use C, C++, Visual Basic (VB), XML, PERL, scripting, and/or JAVA JEE2 applets for our software solutions. Our expertise ranges from simple Excel spreadsheets to Access databases to Oracle, DB2.5, SQL, and Sybase systems.

We typically provide an open API that allows for easy maintenance and seamless integration with your current legacy IT infrastructure. We can offer interfaces to the popular ERP, WMS, SCM, CRM and other solutions such as SAP, BaaN, JD Edwards, i2 technology, Oracle, and Siebel.

Our solutions enable remote, programmable access to the RFID/ADC transaction data, audit trail and real-time updates on platforms dictated by our customers. These platforms include the Internet, intranets, vendor or customer web sites, PDAs, cell phones or other digital (XML, PERL scripting) appliances.
